A hard fought season came to an end, the Paragon team brings home the Team Champions's title and the GT4 Class titile.
With a blink of an eye, the 2011 season has come to an end, the GT challenge series did not disappoint. There were hard fought battles through out the GT classes, with the GT4 and GT5 class seeing the best racing. Close battles and throw away races along with the 3 hour enduros really put a wrench in the mix, as the teams headed into the last race of the season at Mosport, the points spread was just 41 between the Bow Tie dual of Paul Taylor and Joe Chan and the class leading Mazda Miata of Greg Kirestead.
At the end, the Chevy Cobalt and the Paragon Competition crew brought the car home in P2 taking the GT4 title and the Team Championship. We've had bumps in the road this season, losing a wheel at Shannonville on the last corner of the last lap, and intercooler pipe coming lose on the last lap at Mosport cost us some good points, but the crew pulled through, and give us a winning car for the rest of the season. GT challenge is a great place to race and is truly a driver's series. Paragon Competition will run two cars next year and may be moving one of the cars into GT3! Stay tunned!
